Do I need braces??

I really want braces!! I have a slight overbite and gaps in between my whole top layer of teeth. I have had my teeth next to my two front teeth bonded to make them longer so it doesn't look like i have buck teeth. Do you think that will affect this? What was wrong with your teeth in order to get braces? Do you think that they will recommend it?

Reply:I just got my braces off after two years. I had buck teeth a severe overbite and even a side ways tooth. I would consult with an orthodontist. you probably do need braces and your orthodontist will know exactly how to treat you.
Reply:I dunno my teeth were pretty messed up so i needed braces....but SO many bad after effects. I think it was just for me though. Generally they make your teeth looser, and obviously it's not really good for your teeth since you're having them moved into different places forcefully. For me, I have delicate teeth so my front tooth cracked and the nerve died....I had to get it pulled out....and now I have to get an implant.. *cry*





If your teeth don't look horrible, I would say you should keep them the way they are. Save 3000bucks (probably more) and avoid chances of getting your teeth even more messed up. If anything, get invisalign if it's an option.
Reply:i have to get braces this year. and believe me, you don't want braces, both of my sisters barfed that night of getting braces. and i hope i don't . the reason i have to get them is because my teeth are crooked and i have a lot of space between my teeth (two front)
Reply:I am about to get braces and the reason i am getting braces is because i have a bad overbite,my fronteeth curve inward and the rest of my teeth dont touch. So i do believe that you do need braces bad.So go schedule an appointment.
