Anybody has braces on the inside side of their teeth?

I have braces on my top teeth to correct my buck teeth and my ortho will put me more on the lower teeth next month. My overbite is so bad that I%26#039;m scared he%26#039;ll put them behind my teeth. I mean, my front teeth are over each other, upper front teeth in front of the lower. Anybody has experiences with that, braces on the other side of your teeth?!

I have an overbite. Don%26#039;t worry, it%26#039;s common.

I%26#039;m pretty sure at first they%26#039;ll put braces at the front of your teeth. The length of these vary greatly, depending on how crowded of varied the position of your teeth. Once they come off, you probably will have them on the back. If it%26#039;s as bad as you say it is, they might not let you take the back ones off. If for some reason your teeth come into place perfectly, the might take them off, but look forward for a year or two with a special retainer to keep your jaw in place.

It%26#039;s not as bad as it looks! Almost painless. Good luck!
Reply:I have braces on the back of my teeth. Normally, after the braces shift your teeth into the right position and you can have them taken off, you get braces (aka %26quot;permanent retainer%26quot;) on the back of your teeth that don%26#039;t come off. You get used to them quickly, but it%26#039;s a pain to floss.
Reply:actually that is what we call the lingual braces. these type of braces are used often by some individuals because they do not want to have their braces in front of the teeth. lingual braces are annoying bcoz my friend had that kind of brace. it can poke ur tongue when u utter words. but its worth bcoz it dont hurt as compared to usual braces.Ü
