My dentist filled in a chip on one of my buck-teeth...but now that tooth is significantly shorter than the other.Did she do it right?....What can I do?
Messed up tooth! What can be done?
Go back in to the dentist and ask her what%26#039;s wrong.
Reply:Maybe she filed it a little too much. If it%26#039;s shorter than its matching tooth, go back to the dentist and request that she add some filler to the bottom. They should be able to add a little length pretty easily, and if it%26#039;s their fault it%26#039;s too short, I don%26#039;t think you should have to pay for them to make it longer.
Reply:One tooth should not be %26quot;significantly longer than the other.%26quot; Call her and tell her what you said here. A good dentist will have you come back in to make the necessary adjustments in the dental work he/she did.
Reply:HELLO,
FYI, SOME TYPES OF CHIPS ARE NOT ACTUALLY FILLED WITH DENTAL REPAIR COMPOUNDS, BUT ARE JUST TRIMMED AND POLISHED A LITTLE.
WHY?
IN CERTAIN CHIPS THE REPAIR WOULD NOT BE EASILY REPAIRED.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
IT WOULD JUST FALL AWAY, AND YOU WILL BE BACK FOR THE SAME REPAIR OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
YOU CAN CALL AND ASK THE DENTIST THE TYPE OF REPAIR DONE.
THIS IS CALLED OCCUSAL ADJUSTMENT.
Reply:Go back tho that dentist and tell her something%26#039;s wrong and that you wanna know what can be done to fix it (without any extra cost)
