Lament
Why didn't God make me pretty?
Look at the advantages it brings.
Men dive off bridges and buildings
To bring you chocolate and things.
Life is definitely easier
If you're the owner of beautiful eyes
And the world will bend over backwards
For a pair of athletic brown thighs.
Instead, I got saddled with glasses
A little moustache and buck teeth.
And men have no interest in finding
The beautiful me underneath!
(Actually, I wasn't that bad looking in my youth so this is not actually about me - it's for all those girls who get passed by in the mating game)
ps - chocolate reference is
-all because the lady loves Milk Tray
Do you like this little humorous ditty I once wrote?
You made me smile!
You wrote in a comical yet sad way. And to write piece as this one needs talent. Congratulations and welcome to yahoo! poem!
Keep writing. I'm waiting for your next one.
