My dog hurt himself.?

a few weeks ago my dog hurt his leg and i dont know how or what he did to it. i think it is is foot ot whole leg. he dosent seem to be in so much pain, but he dosent step on his foot. for most of the time he just keeps his leg up and limps on it. do you have any idea what he might have don to it/ he is a spoiled beagle, 7years old, buck teeth, breathing problems, he really fat and now he has a foot problem....

My dog hurt himself.?
This is not a place to ask. Take your doggie to the vet. It could be anything from a torn nail to bone fracture. Wouldn't you want to go to the doctor if you couldn't walk?
Reply:can't you ask a vet?
Reply:Take him to the vet.

Next?
Reply:maybe stepped on glass/...usually there pads are too tough but sometimes it happens
Reply:Check his pads for cuts or stickers. Also check between them. I have found a sticker in one of my dogs once. If you don't find anything, then do take him to the vet. They will be able to tell where it hurts. Note: If he's limping or not using it then he's in pain.
Reply:Check his pads for stickers or glass, check his entire leg for swelling and take him to the vet. If he tore/broke/maimed something in his leg the longer you wait the worse it will go.
Reply:Obvious answer to your question, dont wait, take him to the vet, ......a close examination is necessary if you want the dog to be comfortable........its not cheap, but neither is keeping any animal for a pet........sometimes it can be really expensive, but you took on the responsibility and along with that goes some cost......good luck......S%26gt;T%26gt; from ohio
Reply:When a dog holds his leg up like that, he is in serious pain and there is a serious injury. I would take him to your vet asap so he can be treated appropriately.
Reply:i wood poot the poor dog to sleap
Reply:Evidently he is in some pain or he wouldn't be holding his foot up. Gently move his leg around and see if there is any reaction, it could be in his leg or shoulder as well as his foot. You really need to take him to the vet
Reply:This could be a joint problem or he may have stepped on something or he may have sprained or broken something.

Get him to the vet and get his foot looked at.

Once his foot problem is healed and taken care of by the vet then you should start putting him on a diet so that he can lose some weight. That will help relieve stress on his joints and it will help him have a longer life.
Reply:He should have seen the vet a long time ago. If it's broken, it's likely it didn't heal properly and may require surgery. It also may be too late to repair the leg. You really need to make an appointment with the vet and see what can be done.
Reply:Not trying to be rude, but if he was so spoiled wouldnt you have gotten a vets opinion? I know vets can be expensive, but obviously your dog needs medical attention if weeks later he is still nursing his foot. Please let a vet tell you whats wrong....
